“Painless” John’s ten
With the insurance policy in one hand, these would be in the other:-REDPOINT – Duncan Chisholm. Beautiful airs from Scottish fiddle player
HIS MASTER’S CHOICE – Dave Burland. A collection of Richard Thompson songs. Throw away your beta-blockers, listen to big Dave.
FILLING TIME – with Painless John. This is the audio equivalent of my family album. Of little interest to anyone else. Now only available at Woolworths.
LIVE WIZARDRY – Silly Wizard at their best.
NOT TILL TOMORROW – Early Ralph McTell when he was still hungry; not over-produced.
LOVE OVER GOLD _ Dire Straits. Telegraph Road. Needs to be loud.
THE LEWIS BLUE – Ivan Drever and Duncan Chisholm. Two of the original members of celtic folk rockers Wolfstone. Great songs, lovely tunes.
LIVE AT CONWY FOLK CLUB – Mike Hand. Still missed. Brings a smile.
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER – S & G. Still sounds great after over 40 years.
THE BLARNEY PILGRIM – A collection of traditional music from Ireland and Scotland arranged for solo guitar (includes Martin Simpson, Pat Kirtley, Duck Baker & others).A collection, not a compilation! Makes me think of how I might have been able to play if I hadn’t wasted my life with a career.

Hmm interesting choice John; however I am really jealous of the use of the word collection instead of compilation. Damn damn damn.
